Each Summer Alzheimer's Texas partners with the Round Rock Express through the Chasco Community Partnership to spread awareness of Alzheimer's disease. At this selected game Alzheimer's Texas will also receive $5 for each infield ticket and $3 for each lawn ticket purchased through our link. Be sure to come early and watch the pre-game interview about Alzheimer's disease and how we help the community! Stop by the Chasco Community Partnership booth by Home Plate to grab information on services and programs.

We have two days for getting deals- Black Friday and Cyber Monday. On #GivingTuesday, we have a day for giving back. Together, people are creating a new ritual for our annual calendar, and Alzheimer's Texas is proud to announce our participation in this annual day of giving! We encourage anyone and everyone to share an unforgettable memory, photo, story and or donate in honor of a loved one to raise awareness.

Intro to Alzheimer’s: ALZ 101
This class is intended for anyone wanting to learn about Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. Disease information, diagnosis and treatment, risk and prevention and coping are some of the topics shared. It is a great class to take prior to attending a caregiver support group and provides a good base of disease knowledge. Virtually offered the 2nd Tuesday of every month.

Lunch n’ Learn: Understanding Behaviors
Shannon Johnson- Quaife, PhD. will explain potential behaviors you may encounter and common causes. Tips on how to identify, avoid, and resolve behaviors along with steps to understanding behaviors.

ALZ TALK - Ask An Expert Series

Join us and be part of a Q/A as we ask experts in the senior community questions we all want the answers to. This is a great opportunity for caregivers to connect with their local providers and expand their education and knowledge on dementia-related topics.

Co-hosted with Alzheimer's Texas and the Central Texas Aging, Disability and Veterans Resource Center. The Alzheimer’s Symposium is open to the public, free of charge, and includes a light breakfast and lunch. This event features breakout sessions by three professionals from the healthcare industry as well as a chance to speak with local vendors throughout the day.

Co-hosted by Alzheimer's Texas and Riverbend. Responsible for the care of a family member living with Alzheimer's, dementia, Parkinson's, or any other debilitating disease? Then this event is for you! Whether they're living at home, in a facility, or far away, the journey can be daunting, and the responsibility overwhelming. We're here to help! There is no fee to attend. Breakfast and lunch provided. Hear from expert speakers and visit with a range of local providers across the care spectrum. Held at the Riverbend Church in the Community Center (4214 N. Capital Of TX Hwy, Austin, TX 78746). Space is limited and this event will sell out.
